The Senior Manager of Institutional Giving is responsible for identifying, stewarding and securing funding from institutional donors, such as private foundations and corporations. This role will travel approximately 30% of the time.
Results-Driven. Proven track record of soliciting and closing major institutional gifts, growing a fundraising program and being able to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail. Skilled in follow-through while working in a fast-paced environment that is deadline driven.
Strategic. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for each institutional giving donor. Knowledge of evolving trends in foundation and corporate fundraising and ability to translate those into strategic and actionable goals.
Collaborative. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Skilled at working with programmatic staff to identify appropriate matches between their goals and funders priorities.
Articulate & Influential. Highly skilled in verbal and written communication, including the ability to make persuasive and effective presentations and writing and editing grant proposals.
