HR Consultant – People Policy Governance | 10500 | 1 year Fixed term Contract | 37 hours per week | £43,822 to £48,227per annum (Scale K) | County Hall, Norwich

 

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Consultant to join the People Policy Governance team to lead on the development and implementation of HR policy, activity and projects in support of the People Management Strategy and legislative requirements. 

 

You will work across all areas of the team which includes developing and implementing policies and plans, reward and recognition, auditing, freedom of information and subject access, and providing specialist professional advice and guidance as a subject matter expert. 

 

You will develop, manage and implement project plans in accordance with NCC governance and best practice standards while proactively identifying improvements/recommendations. 

 

You will report to the HR Manager – People Policy Governance and will work along side other HR Consultants and the wider team.

 

We are looking for a professionally qualified individual (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development level 5 or above) or equivalent experience in a relevant field.  

 

You will need excellent communication skills, experience of policy development, project management, reward and recognition, and up to date employment law knowledge. 

 

You will also need a good understanding of the complexities and implications of different employment terms and conditions. The ability to work closely with HR colleagues and other key stakeholders is key, including the ability to lead discussions and consultations with relevant Trade Unions. 

 

This is a 1 year fixed term role.
