Editorial Director, On With Kara Swisher

The Vox Media Podcast Network is hiring an Editorial Director for its award‑winning show On with Kara Swisher. The podcast reaches a large, influential audience and regularly welcomes headline‑makers across politics (Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttegieg), tech (Sam Altman, Geoffrey Hinton, Bill Gates), and culture (Margaret Atwood, Laverne Cox, Ronny Chieng). 

The Editorial Director leads the On With Kara Swisher staff and daily production: overseeing workflow, assignment management, and editorial planning/initiatives. The Editorial Director also works closely with the host and the podcast network's Exec. Producer to implement special projects and brand expansion across platforms. This role is the link between the show's episode content and its established vision and strategy—responsible for scheduling editorial reviews, strengthening programming, and implementing plans for ongoing improvement and audience growth. The Editorial Director is also the steward of the team's culture, facilitating creative collaboration and pathways to professional growth for team members while ensuring the highest standards for journalism and production.
