ABOUT THE ROLE
(RED)’s Communications Team partners with top media to spread (RED)’s mission to audiences worldwide. From creating media announcements for the hottest press to coordinating spectacular events and campaigns, this team supports (RED)’s brand, partners, and supporters. As relationships lie at the heart of (RED), the Communications Team also works with talent, influencers, and ambassadors to inspire change.
Reporting to the Director of Communications & Campaigns, and based in New York, the successful candidate will help build awareness of the (RED) brand and bring new audiences to (RED) in exciting and innovative ways.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Support media outreach and engagements, including developing pitches, coordinating campaign assets, and drafting key communications materials such as press releases, FAQs, talking points, and briefing documents
- Coordinate media flights, ensuring all creative, copy, and supporting assets are delivered on time and aligned to (RED)’s objectives
- Act as a communications liaison between internal teams and external product partners, facilitating smooth collaboration and clear expectations
- Support communications for product partner onboarding and track ongoing deliverables across the partner portfolio
- Monitor media coverage and news cycles daily, providing timely reporting, tracking campaign performance, and flagging rapid-response opportunities or potential issues
- Deliver recurring campaign and launch updates covering key metrics such as earned media value and coverage
- Coordinate end-to-end campaign execution across internal and external stakeholders, supporting seamless delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with campaign objectives
- Develop and coordinate communication briefs, timelines, and workback schedules, keeping all workstreams on track from kickoff through wrap-up
- Oversee the (RED) Communications & Impact Fellow in partnership with the Impact Team
- Additional duties, as assigned
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least one year of relevant work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a sharp editorial eye
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency and brand standards
- Collaborative team player with strong relationship management instincts
- Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR platforms
- Understanding of the media landscape and best practices
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Mac platforms
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- The compensation range for this non-exempt position is between $50,000–$52,000 annually
- Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage with a generous 401K program
- Generous paid time off and sick days. Office closed between December 25 and January 2.
